Today I went along to the launch of the All Whites World Cup soccer qualifying game to be played in Wellington on the 14th of November. This will be the biggest football game in New Zealand since the 1982 World Cup campaign. New Zealand will play either Saudi Arabia or Bahrain in home and away games with the winner making the World Cup. The first leg will be in either Saudi or Bahrain and then the decider here in Wellington.
This will be a great event. The aim is to sell out the Westpac Stadium and have over 30,000 people there cheering New Zealand on. Ticket prices seem fairly reasonable at either$39/$29 and $19 for kids. They go on sale to the public next week, but you can find out all about it here. So, fellow Wellingtonians lets get in behind the game. I was in Australia around the last World Cup and it was just huge. It is the the biggest sporting event in the world and a great opportunity for us all.

I will be there. New Zealand’s biggest football match in almost three decades. GO THE ALL WHITES.
